GenAI + Critical Thinking

I investigated the emerging generative AI edtech product landscape to understand how leading platforms were designing human–AI interaction—and where existing approaches left room for better ways to support reasoning, collaboration, and user control.

Overview

I conducted a feature-level analysis of 22 AI products across research, writing, tutoring, ideation, and general-purpose AI. I mapped recurring interaction patterns across areas like transparency, evidence, learner control, reflection, iteration, and AI-generated assistance, then used the landscape to compare approaches, identify strengths and weaknesses, and uncover underexplored product opportunities. I translated those findings through problem definition, opportunity mapping, and user personas into a product strategy and design brief.
